[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]We\u00a0are\u00a0proud\u00a0to\u00a0present\u00a0the\u00a02025 Climate Fund Progress Report,\u00a0showcasing\u00a0the\u00a0inspiring\u00a0work\u00a0of\u00a0our\u00a0Naturefriends\u00a0organisations\u00a0in Senegal, Mali, and Togo.\u00a0Their\u00a0achievements\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0only\u00a0captured\u00a0in\u00a0writing\u00a0but also\u00a0brought\u00a0vividly\u00a0to\u00a0life\u00a0through\u00a0engaging\u00a0videos.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2025, the Climate Fund focused on planting fruit trees\u00a0\u2013\u00a0an\u00a0activity\u00a0that continues to grow and take roots\u00a0across all partner countries. In Senegal, this effort is part of the ongoing\u00a0Tree Sponsorship<\/i>\u00a0project, launched in 2023. This ambitious initiative aims to plant at least 3,500 fruit trees each year, combining environmental action with educational\u00a0programmes\u00a0that\u00a0raise awareness of the importance of climate protection and highlight the importance of taking care of the trees.\u00a0<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”nivo” interval=”0″ images=”4383,4455,4482,4473,4313,4392,4211,4202″ img_size=”large” css=””][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1648031449236{margin-top: -20px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”5\/6″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1741167745199{margin-bottom: -1px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]In Mali, the project <\/span>A Tree Nursery for Farako<\/span><\/i>, which began in 2022, has evolved into a long-term initiative. Its goals include planting a minimum of 500 fruit trees annually, engaging local schools in environmental education, and strengthening community awareness of climate protection.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

A new Climate Fund project was launched in Togo in August 2025, and has already been creating a strong impact, with more than 3,500 trees planted to date. Led by CASE TOGO \u2013 Amis de la Nature in partnership with the Municipality of Kpalim\u00e9, the project aims to plant at least 5,000 trees by 2027.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Our report also highlights our efforts to raise awareness of the Climate Fund and shares insights into the campaigns that have helped increase both visibility and support.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

One key initiative is our <\/span>\u201c1 Euro for Climate Justice\u201d<\/span><\/i> campaign, launched in March 2024. So far, nine Naturefriends groups have committed to donating one euro per member each year, creating a reliable source of funding for future Climate Fund projects and communicating the topic of climate justice on the local level. Our Christmas campaign also played an important role in raising awareness while generating donations to support the Climate Fund projects.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
