The 2024 Climate Fund Impact Report is here!

February 2025

We are pleased to provide an overview of the impressive activities of our Naturefriends organizations in Senegal and Mali, which are also illustrated in videos.

In 2024, the activities financed by the Climate Fund were focusing on planting fruit trees. In Senegal, this action is part of the long-term “Tree sponsorships” initiative (launched in 2023), which aims to plant at least 3,500 fruit trees annually as part of comprehensive environmental education activities. The “Farako Tree Nursery” project launched in Mali in 2022 has also now developed into a multi-year initiative that is to be supported until at least 2026. The aim is to plant at least 500 fruit trees from the tree nursery each year as part of environmental education activities with local schools, while also raising awareness of climate protection among the population.

The report also provides insights into the activities we have carried out to promote the climate fund and contains an overview of the donations acquired. We are particularly proud of the success of our “1 Euro for Climate Justice” campaign, which was launched in March 2024: to date, eight Naturefriends groups have agreed to support the climate fund with an annual contribution of 1 euro per member. Our Christmas campaign was also a great success, helping to raise awareness of climate justice and raising a considerable amount in donations.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all supporters who are committed to the climate fund! Together with you, we have come a long way on our common path to climate justice.
